New Free Pennywise CD

Pennywise typically sells between 60,000 and 100,000 albums and now their 9th cd will be available through MySpace. On March 25, 2008 users must simply add promotional partner "Textango" as a friend.

Guitarist Fletcher Dragge added:
We know that this will piss off a lot of people in the music industry and what do we say to that? 'Who cares?' We've been pissing people off for 18 years. Why stop now? We have been telling people to get our records by any mean necessary for 17 years. As a band, we decided that it was time to come to terms with the facts. There are a lot of people out there who want their music for free, so we got proactive and with the help of MySpace Records and Textango we found away to make it happen...we couldn't be more stoked…

G-Unit and Fat Wreck Chords

Well the year is about to come to an end and returning home to the states reminds me of how wrong it is that a jew like myself must stress over x-mas. That's what you get for dating xtians I guess. So first off I bring you the Fat Wreck Hanuk-Comp. Punk Rock Comps are amazing; this one not so much BUT there are some goodies and it's free so shut the fuck up.

And also today will include rap's equivalent the ever so amazing mixtape.

From torrentfreak.com:

Q: “How are G-Unit Records doing in these times of file-sharing?

“Not so good….The advances in technology impacts everyone, and we all
must adapt. Most of all hip-hop, a style of music dependent upon a youthful
audience. This market consists of individuals embracing innovations faster
than the fans of classical and jazz music.”

“What is important for the music industry to understand is that this really doesn’t hurt the artists.”

“A young fan may bejust as devout and dedicated no matter if
he bought it or stole it.”

“The concerts are crowded and the industry must understand
that they have to manage all the 360 degrees around an artist. They, (the
industry), have to maximize their income from concerts
and merchandise. It is the only way they can get their marketing money back.”

“The main problem is that the artists are not getting as much
help developing as before file-sharing. They are now learning to peddle
ringtones, not records. They don’t understand the value of a perfect piece of art.

- 50 Cent

Anyways, here:
Fat Wreck Chords - Hanuk-Comp

Be sure to check out the acoustic Joey Cape song, he plays harmonica and it's not that bad. Also Rise Against does a cover of Minor Threat's "Minor Threat" which is true.

Canada > The United States

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have announced that they no longer plan on prosecuting people who download copyrighted songs for their own personal use.

According to a statement from the federal police agency:

"Piracy for personal use is no longer targeted. It is too easy to copy these days and we do not know how to stop it."

Of course, copyright infringement remains a civil offense, and so organizations like the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA) is still able to bring suits against individuals but this is a small step towards the future.

Finally you can take pride in shitting yourself!

Usually I like to update with albums of music. Something you can put on and escape with. no skipping around, no bullshit. Well this month is a specially month. I'm going to Amsterdam in a couple of weeks so as far as the rest of the world is concerned, I don't give a shit.

With the recent passing of Halloween and the candy bowl getting smaller this month we'll see a DVD, and a hard one to find at that. I had to download bittorrent just to get this shit. shitty shit. so here it is, .avi in a direct link. NO BIT TORRENT!

GG Allin and The Murder Junkies - Hated DVD

I guess I have to sell this one good since it is such a big download. Well here we go:
GG Allin was punk. His shows would usually last about 20 minutes until it got shut down by police. brawls occured, blood drawn, and shit thrown. now when I say GG threw shit I'm being literal. He'd take a shit, grab it, and rub it on himself and maybe others.

GG's real name is Jesus. His father use to beat him, his brother, and their mother as well as verbally abusing them and psychologically taunting them. He'd dig 3 holes in the basement and threaten them that he would bury them under the house.

Anyways,, fast forward and we got a punker who pushes the boundaries to an unthinkable degree. He was jailed about 30 times. He also claimed he would commit suicide on stage during halloween but every halloween that came he found himself in jail before November 1st. He took a shit load of drugs and laxiatives before a show and you'd never know what to expect. A GG show was bizarre to say the least.

Sadly his death wasn't nearly as spectacular as his shows. He died of an overdose in a friend's apartment. But his life was reflected at his funeral. By request his body was not washed or prepared for his open casket ceremony. Embalming fluid leaked from the casket, his corpse was bloody and there was piss and shit leaking into the casket. His body was bloated and he wore a leather jacket, studs, and some underwear that read "eat me" on the crotch. By his side were newspaper articles of his shows, some of his music coming through some headphones and a bottle of jim bean.

Those who attended partyed like Jesus would have wanted. They put drugs into GG's mouth and drank his booze. Some took pictures of themselves with his corpse while others pulled down his jockstrap to fondle his junk one last time.

This guy was one sick fuck. he sang, if that's what it can be called. But he was probably the last great performance artist. and frankly his shows scare the shit out of me. Some are highlighted in this dvd, like the drunken spoken word where he beats a girl and throws chairs while drunken rambling and getting undressed in the process. Or for his birthday the gift of swolling piss. For those who would rather be exposed to what the PMRC doesn't even want to acknowledge this is for you.

my favorite GG Allin song - "Suck my ass it smells"

Agree to Disagree

This is a big world and instead of conformity to 1 single mood I thought it'd be great if we embrassed our difference just for a moment. so snuggle up close to the speakers and open your heart to these cheerful tunes.
Sum 41 - Underclass Hero
http://link-protector.com/240480/

Canadians. Apparently if you're a Canadian artist and get popular in America you're a bit blacklisted on Canadian radio. harsh. anyways this band is borderline punk, not really but the outfit work. and the globs of processing on the vocals at least make it polished to perfection. i think this is the first cd without the brown guy so not as much rap/metal as you'd think. anyways, the singer was considered for deportation from Canada for mildly insulting Bush Jr. on this record. Canadians are weird.

A Global Threat - Until We Die

http://rapidshare.com/files/43630227/AGT_UWD.zip

This is the best unnoticed cd ever. the best opening band i've ever seen. streetpunk at its finest. i think i've seen them 2 or 3 times now and they've got hutszpah. after the release of their newest cd they spent almost a whole 2 years on tour! incredible. they have an amazing sound, amazing speed, attitude, loudness, the whole shabang. i guess they'd be considered a hardcore band but these Bostonians make me proud once again of stupid haircuts. if you enjoy this deffinitely check out their latest disk, Where The Sun Never Sets,. another classic.

Lloyd Banks - Hunger For More

http://rapidshare.com/files/19152362/Lloyd_Banks-The_Hunger_For_More-2004-_HHKingz.net_.rar

Oh shit. the first track on this cd is so hot it doesn't cool down till the cd is done. smoker, gorilla, and new york "gangsta" rapper Lloyd Banks is a lyrical phenom. flow is incredible, beats ARE INSANE, and this didn't go 4 times platinum for nothing. pump this in your ghetto blasters.

The Skoidats - The Times

http://64.233.179.104/translate_c?hl=en&u=http://www.badongo.com/file/2433644&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dskoidats%2Bmegaupload%26hl%3Den%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox%26rlz%3D1I7SUNA

Honestly this is the album that got me motivated to start a blog for albums. i found this on some awesome international site and i was impressed. this band is all about beer, beer, and beer but i love their mix of punk and ska and reggae. that's always a great combo but this band makes the played out tricks work. this one is for the ska junkies, i'm bringing back the pogo.

H20 - Go

http://www.megaupload.com/de/?d=16DFCPNP

This came out 2001, according to wikipedia, but i remember listening to this in middle school so i'm going to call malarky on this one. anyways this guys are straight edge and i think from new york as well. something about this band is great though. their would be singles are great and the vocals are pretty unique. maybe the best reason to get this is the hardcore cover of madonnas "like a prayer". i think a global threat is WAY MORE HARDCORE THAN THIS BAND but punk is punk, and fuck what things like wikipedia say.

Gumbo Pot

Hello and welcome to the 3rd mother fucking month of Free and Loud. This month will just be a grab bag of goodies to load into your zune or ipod and brag to your friends about your new, cool, free music. as always, enjoy.

Slim Thug Presents: Boss Hogg Outlawz - Serve & Collect

Of course, since this is a rap album after all, the subject matter is kind of weak but the beats and raps are incredible. not too much skipping around here. amazing production and check out PJ and killa kyleon.

Morning Glory - The Whole World is Watching

As requested by CJ Skank, again...
From Ezra of Leftover Crack and INDK this is his band after INDK split. More poppy but still have a crunchy goodnes. Well the original link died so here is a reup. This is The Whole World Is Watching reissue EP. Enjoy!

2 Pump Chumps - Sloppy Seconds

A little bit of some shamless self promotion. My band's 2nd CD, mastered this time. Garageband.com users gave the 2 songs up a 4.5 and 5 out of 5. Free release, includes a song called "F the RIAA" dedicated to when this blog gets me sued. Snatch it up before we get signed and demand money for this bitch!

Tim Armstrong - A Poet's Life

And finally a new one for you dub lovers out there. Backing band is the Aggrolites and you just have to hear it for yourself. sounds nothing like Op Ivy or Rancid, and be sure to check out the song "Translator"

Mash-ups

So this edition of Free and Loud is mash-up oriented. you see when a rap single is released side A is a clean and dirty version of the song while side B contains usually an instrumental and an acapella of the track. Jay-Z saw the potential of this and released the entire Black Album as an acapella encouraging DJs to remix the shit out of it. and DJ Danger Mouse [adultswim] did just that remixing Beatles tracks from the white album. unfortunately he got served with a cease-and-desist order because apparently you can't fuck with audio ripped from cds and then make a profit off of it. who knew? anyways the cd was never officially released and is actually hard to find online now-a-days.

Now I thought that was hot but this next one makes some competition. Here is Frank Sinatra tunes mixed with Biggie Smalls. Rather than a B.I.G. album mixing with instrumentals DJ Cappel and Smitty mixed existing songs with random Notorious acapellas many times having Frank and Mr. Wallace spitting on the same track. the kings of New York bring class to hip-hop, enjoy

My Favorite 10 Albums

Might as well start this off with a BANG!!!
here is a nice way to fill up your mp3 player

Sublime - 40 Oz. To Freedom

Here we have Sublime's debut CD. A classic to say the least. Includes an amazing blend of 3rd wave ska, punk, dub, rocksteady, and a great soundtrack to a blunt.

Punk-O-Rama Vol. 2

Woah, this was the CD that introduced me to punk. This cd pretty much captures the Epitaph roster at its finest from Pennywise to Bad Religion, The Decendents, Pulley, Rancid, and so on. The CD was offered at like $1 with the purchase of any other CD from an Epitaph artist: brilliant. This cd right here has molded my perspective of good music.

NOFX - The Decline

Simply a masterpiece. 18 minutes of NOFX doing what they do. Every little musical quip they've done over the years has been squeezed into 1 amazing song so if you've never heard NOFX this song will give you an idea of what they're all about. The song takes the listener through waves of emotion with a killer outro. As a musician this song has always inspired me to push my own personal boundaries. Ever wonder where Green Day got the idea to do a "punk-rock opera"?

http://rapidshare.com/files/21362902/The_decline.zip

Various Artists - Short Music For Short People

So an 18 minute song is pretty cool but the only reason that was created was due to the diminished value of short songs. Here is the other side of the spectrum, 101 30 second songs but 101 different bands. some of the bands included are NOFX, AFI, Green Day, White Flag, Black Flag, Anti-Flag, Anti-anti, Blink 182, The Subhumans, The Misfits, Less Than Jake, and a shit load of others. coolest idea for a CD ever. plus it makes a great album to have included in your shuffle list.

G-Unit - Beg For Mercy

Don't like hip-hop? well fuck you. This CD showcases the G-Unit featuring 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, and Tony Yayo. the beats are crazy insane with some amazing bass lines. This CD really got me into G-unit and back into rap just in general. Such a chill cd so check it out.

http://rapidshare.com/files/26353533/G_Unit_-_Beg_For_Mercy.rar

Green Day - Insomniac

After the success of Dookie Green Day had to bring it back to their punk roots. Although they weren't that punk to begin with....this CD puts the other CDs to shame. This is Green Day at their hardest, fastest, and meanest. lots of distortion, once again some amazing bass, and something to skank to.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8D9FXMX4

Nirvana - In Utero
Here we have Nirvana's follow up CD to Nevermind. once again they wanted to prove that they were still fucking bad asses and not pussy pop stars. This CD is brutal. such a beautiful use of feedback, melody, lyricism, and the last music we'd hear from a band that offed itself.

Frenzal Rhomb - Sans Souci

Here is Australian Frenzal Rhomb. I love this band. They have a foreign sense of melody but are fast paced with great lyrics. I saw this band open for NOFX 4 or 5 years ago and i didn't really know who they were. The guitarist ran around a lot and his long dreaded hair stuck out from this stupid red baseball hat. Well he jumped on top of the amps and fell off, knocking off his hat/hair to reveal a short haired blond guy. the singer has some mean dreads so it's all good. But at least we know the Russell Crow Band is a fucking pile of shit.

INDK - Kill Whitey!

INDK is New York punk featuring Ezra from Leftover Crack/Choking Victim. Nicest guy, he ever replied to my e-mail. anyways this dude has an amazing sense of melody. the guitars are punky but just like CV INDK broke up right before their first cd, ie Kill Whitey!, was released. it's a shame, i'd love to see INDK live. Ezra remains in leftover crack but went on to form Morning Glory to replace INDK. if you enjoy CV or LOC check this out, i guarantee this will remain in heavy rotation.

http://www.gigasize.com/get.php/1120038/Indk__Kill_Whitey__elclubdelosmagios.blogspot.com.rar

Rancid - Rancid (2000)

I never really got into Rancid but an old girlfriend passed this CD along to me and damn its good. From what I've heard this is Rancid's harshest CD. They tear through 22 songs. This CD was recorded live 4 times and the best set was chosen for release. It's so punk, so amazing. most of the songs bleed into one another and their bass player is THE SHIT! sorry the tracks don't have titles, i don't make the shit i just steal it from other websites. bitch.
