This is a big world and instead of conformity to 1 single mood I thought it'd be great if we embrassed our difference just for a moment. so snuggle up close to the speakers and open your heart to these cheerful tunes.
Sum 41 - Underclass Hero
http://link-protector.com/240480/Canadians. Apparently if you're a Canadian artist and get popular in America you're a bit blacklisted on Canadian radio. harsh. anyways this band is borderline punk, not really but the outfit work. and the globs of processing on the vocals at least make it polished to perfection. i think this is the first cd without the brown guy so not as much rap/metal as you'd think. anyways, the singer was considered for deportation from Canada for mildly insulting Bush Jr. on this record. Canadians are weird.
A Global Threat - Until We Die
http://rapidshare.com/files/43630227/AGT_UWD.zipThis is the best unnoticed cd ever. the best opening band i've ever seen. streetpunk at its finest. i think i've seen them 2 or 3 times now and they've got hutszpah. after the release of their newest cd they spent almost a whole 2 years on tour! incredible. they have an amazing sound, amazing speed, attitude, loudness, the whole shabang. i guess they'd be considered a hardcore band but these Bostonians make me proud once again of stupid haircuts. if you enjoy this deffinitely check out their latest disk, Where The Sun Never Sets,. another classic.
Lloyd Banks - Hunger For More
http://rapidshare.com/files/19152362/Lloyd_Banks-The_Hunger_For_More-2004-_HHKingz.net_.rar
Oh shit. the first track on this cd is so hot it doesn't cool down till the cd is done. smoker, gorilla, and new york "gangsta" rapper Lloyd Banks is a lyrical phenom. flow is incredible, beats ARE INSANE, and this didn't go 4 times platinum for nothing. pump this in your ghetto blasters.
The Skoidats - The Times
http://64.233.179.104/translate_c?hl=en&u=http://www.badongo.com/file/2433644&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dskoidats%2Bmegaupload%26hl%3Den%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox%26rlz%3D1I7SUNAHonestly this is the album that got me motivated to start a blog for albums. i found this on some awesome international site and i was impressed. this band is all about beer, beer, and beer but i love their mix of punk and ska and reggae. that's always a great combo but this band makes the played out tricks work. this one is for the ska junkies, i'm bringing back the pogo.
H20 - Go
http://www.megaupload.com/de/?d=16DFCPNPThis came out 2001, according to wikipedia, but i remember listening to this in middle school so i'm going to call malarky on this one. anyways this guys are straight edge and i think from new york as well. something about this band is great though. their would be singles are great and the vocals are pretty unique. maybe the best reason to get this is the hardcore cover of madonnas "like a prayer". i think a global threat is WAY MORE HARDCORE THAN THIS BAND but punk is punk, and fuck what things like wikipedia say.
